Well, the thing is i don't really like to see xat chat on such a nice looking forums (such as this one) idk about you but xat chatbox is sort of "UGLY" ;\

I dont think that is really needed since 1) this will be big 2) we have clan chat and clan wars in game 3) chat = less active forums, so Henning post tanks are more important ATM

As much as I think that chatboxes are good, many people don't like them, and I have seen many people driven away by xat and other chatboxes.
