It was hard for private servers to code things in since they had to rely on youtube etc.
Well now that OSRS is out, it becomes very easy to code since it has every dialogue, quests etc that was basically around 2006. So just wondering, is it harder to code still or should progress on rsps become quicker like on this? i believe that rune2006 should become easier to code since OSRS is a good source to rely on. |

Well. I do agree that OSRS made it easier to find info on quests and what was in the game during that time, but playing OSRS as a source isn't what I'd do. Instead I'd save my money and look on youtube again, since now people can make videos of OSRS. Yes, it's a good source to rely on, but is it worth the money to play it?

It's even better to use Rune HeadQuarters quest guides, because you can copy and paste the dialogue. |

If perhaps you could acess a full debug interface (similar to the developer console) it would expediate the process in that you wouldn't have to comb through 5,000+ Animation ids, item itds, interface id's etc. To find the single one needed for the quest. But it does not make it easier. As quests get more complex the longer time it takes to code it.
Imagine a rubix cube that keeps getting bigger. The 2x2 is easy enough to make a solution to. But as you get up to higher and higher powers. Well, get my point? (09-09-2013 04:35 AM)Botting4days Wrote: It's not a bug, it's a "feature". |
