nahh loool, even botting it took me like a year to get like 3 99's. so it's like just playing normaly

An acquaintance of mine has actually been banned by Jagex for botting even though he is innocent...

so jagex banned him even though he wasn't botting?
we'll that's weird.... jagex has a system where it tracks your mouse clicks after you have been reported for botting and if they see repeated behaviour, then that's when they give you the ban hammer...

Well, it's what he told me so I can't say if his version of the story was true or not...

Even so, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. If I remember correctly, JaGeX only dishes out a temporary ban the first time you get caught for botting. And it seems very unlikely that they'll ban somebody by mistake twice anyways.

Jagex dosent really have a system of detecting it. I was a developer at rsbot during its formative years. To test things i had 6 accounts botting non stop. And my main account which i played legitly at the same time. Only my legit account got banned and denied appeals. Those 6 accs are still around and havent even gotten warnings (they bootted 24/7 for weeeks at a time)

as you know, i don't know for sure it's just what i hear from other people. but yeah idk. i'm pretty sure i saw a post by one of the admins on runescape fourms saying that about the system. of course 6 years ago it might have not been in place at that time.

The bot conversation amuses me.

Way back in 04-05 I was a big part of SCAR's bot development. We had the most humanlike bots at the time; most of the bots I developed never had a single ban reported back (had my scripts email me if characters suddenly couldn't log in)! I was really into the randomized actions so I developed many of the core functions of the bot API such as unique mouse movements, pathing, color (which lead to image) finding, and antirandom solving.

actually, powerbot is better than epic bot. epic bot stole all the money i made using the bot. i made around 4 mill and i logged in and i was somewhere else and 0 gp. after that i never used epicbot. or even if i did, i didn't use it on an account with cash.
