Windows 8 I hear has many issues dealing with its style involving 'tablet-like' interfaces and a lack of flexibility.

Compared to older windows, Windows 7 simply improves upon the other OSes such as Vista and XP, with new features and an awesome styling of the start bar, general look and theme, and is quite flexible.

THOUGH! Though, Windows XP may out-perform Windows 7 in terms of how much memory it consumes, for example one who is trying heavy programs such as Battlefield 3 on an older computer may not be able to do it on Windows 7 but still be able to do it on Windows XP because of the free memory.
