Please no. I don't want to feel that it is obligatory to play because if I don't I am losing out on "free" experience.
And from my experiences with these kinds of events, I tend to be very unmotivated to play after them because the slower pace is accentuated, I have grown tired of the game from playing for longer than usual, and I did not enjoy my time playing because I focused a lot more on experience than fun. In the long run, I also tend to feel like I did not earn the experience and it was not deserved, which leads me to hate the fact that I have it and upsets me whenever I take advantage of it.
