Honestly RS3 is a great update, I don't see why everyone hates it so much.

I thought the big draw of RS2 was that it ran on almost any machine. The move to HTML5 is a big deal-breaker for some because they simply don't have the specs to run it.

I can't imagine them fully moving away from the Java client, and would imagine that to be their big downfall if they do it too soon.

Because people are too lazy to upgrade their Windows 98 computer to something else.

Runescape 3 Is shit. partly because my computer cant handle it in the lowest graphics.

It is beyond that. A standard computer should be able to play the game at typical graphic settings for a game such as Runescape. That is why they can boast that they have such a large playerbase.

They are chucking away their advantage over other MMO's.

Havent played it yet but the fact of it being HTML 5 seems neat but a resource hog if done incorrectly (coding wise) which in my opinion jagex has been doing since the beginning

My computer used to be able to play EOC and it was a good update, I don't see where all the whining comes from... probably people that haven't even tried it yet and jump on the hating bandwagon.

From what I've seen on youtube RS3 looks awesome and I would love to play it, shame that I can't
