How does this happen?

I hit a 6 on a goblin. Don't ask me how but I did. screenie shows it all. I thought they had 5hp max? lol.

6, obviously. I actually like the way Jagex does it when you kill an npc you get experience they don't have to be worried about adding npcs and fixing there health. But with a semi good source like this and reviewing how the combat is handled that it checks if the npc's health matches the same with the definitions if it does not like this goblin 6 it adds nothing. But I doubt it since Hyperion's don't have this.

That's what i thought but that's impossible. If the goblins max hp is 5, then healing would keep it at 5. And he hit 6. That's impossible.
